To choose your ceiling fan well, you should consider factors such as the design you're after or the size of your room. The bigger the room, the larger the diameter of your ceiling fan should be.

Extra tip: If the space is rectangular or very elongated: instead of installing a single XXL fan, it's usually more efficient to install two separate M-sized fans to distribute the airflow evenly.
The heart of the fan: motor type
There are two types of motor in ceiling fans: DC and AC. The direct current (DC) motor stands out for being more efficient, quieter, more robust and longer-lasting, delivering high power output with lower consumption. Alternating current (AC) fans are also quiet, but less efficient. That's why all Create fans are DC.
Integrated lighting and ambience options
Every room has its own needs, and every user their own tastes. That's why you can choose your fan's lighting and create different moods in your rooms with a single light source. When buying your ceiling fan, you can choose one to suit your space: a ceiling fan with integrated lighting in 3 tones (warm, cool and neutral), or even with ambient lighting to create relaxing atmospheres. You can also choose your ceiling fan without a light. Depending on the type of activities you do in the room and the mood you want to achieve, being able to vary the light is always a sensible choice suited to your daily routine.
Control and connectivity systems
All our models come with a remote control, but you can also choose how to control it: if you go for the wifi option, you'll be able to control it from your phone via our app, or alternatively, you can find your ceiling fan with wall controller to operate it from any wall in the room.
Which fan do you need depending on your room?
For communal spaces such as the kitchen or living room, which tend to be larger and busier, we recommend M or even L-sized ceiling fans, depending on the space, to ensure the whole room is cooled properly. For smaller bedrooms or offices, on the other hand, we recommend S-sized fans, or even those that look like lamps thanks to their folding blades.
If, on the other hand, you're after a fan for outdoor areas such as porches or patios, we also have a wide range of outdoor fan models that, being made from ABS, are water-resistant.

In this case, we recommend using bladed fans that fill the space and are in proportion to the size of the room. This way, both functionally and aesthetically, it will meet the room's needs and the cool air will reach every corner. If you also choose models with wooden or woodeffect blades, for example, you'll achieve that lovely warm touch above the dining table or in the living room. You'll need a water-resistant ceiling fan that can be kept outdoors without getting damaged. If you're after one for your porch or patio, choose one with IP44 certification and technical ABS blades, a material that's tough, lightweight and easy to clean.

Efficient all year round: the summer/winter function
We generally make more use of fans in summer. However, many people don't know that all Create fans also have a summer/winter function, which involves the blades spinning in reverse to move heat that's built up at the ceiling and raise the perceived temperature in the room.
These fans help you improve energy efficiency all year round, cooling spaces when the blades spin anticlockwise, and raising the temperature when they spin clockwise.
Adaptable solutions: double height and retractable blades
To position a fan correctly, it should ideally sit between 2.4 m and 2.7 m from the floor, to be safe and efficient. So, if your ceiling height is more than 2.7 m, we recommend installing a double-height ceiling fan, whose downrod can be extended with an extension rod so the fan hangs lower. The closer it is to 2.4 m (that is, the lower it hangs), the more cool air it will distribute.

Frequently asked questions about which fan to buy
Is a 3 or 5-blade ceiling fan better?
In general, a 5-blade fan is more than enough to cool living rooms and bedrooms. However, for spaces over 30 m², we do indeed recommend a 5-blade model.
Which type of blade moves more air or is more durable (plastic, wood, metal)?
All three materials are equally efficient; what matters is the design of the blade.
What power output is recommended for a ceiling fan?
It depends on the size of the fan: the smallest ones work well from 20W, and medium ones from 40W.
How long does a ceiling fan last?
This depends a great deal on how much it's used and how well it's looked after, but it usually lasts between 8 and 15 years.
Which uses more electricity, a ceiling fan or air conditioning?
A ceiling fan gives you a 96% saving on your electricity bill compared with air conditioning. What's more, you'll cut your energy usage all year round, since the summer/winter function helps distribute the cool air from air conditioning and the heat from your heating more evenly, meaning you'll need to use them for less time or at a lower power. Yes, but not every fan is suitable; there are some models designed specifically for sloped ceilings that come with a rod for a safe installation.
