An exploration of the influence of colour on our lives
Fridge Studio, the core of colour and identity in the kitchen
Create hosts a workshop with Pilar García-Ferrer, creator of the art, architecture and interior design brand, on colour theory and how it influences our lives, on the occasion of the launch of the new Fridge Studio refrigerator collection. Its tones respond to the need to adapt to different kitchen styles, while also reflecting the identities and sensibilities of the people who live in the home.
The colour choices made to decorate a home say a lot about the personality of those who inhabit it. Regarding the tones of the Fridge Studio collection, she explains: “Off-white conveys light, calm and visual clarity. Sand expresses serenity, discretion and comfort. Mocha has an emotional, warm quality connected to craftsmanship and earth. Sage green conveys calm and a connection with nature — balanced and contemporary. Black adds structure, depth and sophistication.”
“In recent years, the kitchen has become the heart of the home.”
She also highlighted how essential colour is in the kitchen, a space that has become over time the centre of the home, a point of encounter and activity. That’s why a major design piece like a refrigerator can completely transform its atmosphere: “The kitchen has become the place where everything happens, where guests gather. It used to be separate from the house, now it’s the heart.”
Pilar García-Ferrer
“After smell, colour is the most tangible element that stays engraved in our memory and emotions. It affects how we live and feel spaces.”
With the Fridge Studio Collection, colour goes far beyond decoration — it becomes a way of inhabiting homes and expressing emotions.
