Halloween, children and hair-raising recipes!
The most terrifying time of the year is fast approaching. For kids, that terror comes with a large dose of fun. For the rest of us, the fear and anticipation can be quite real: costumes for the children, one day vampires and the next day mummies, buying all those sweets and chocolates, decorating the house...
If you are one of those people who will be surrounded by little monsters (either your own or because you work as a teacher or look after children), why not use this festival to do something fun and entertaining that will also get them involved in the kitchen by showing them how to eat healthily while enjoying themselves.
It is never a bad time to educate children on cooking and food as this will help them become more independent when preparing their own meals in later life.
We can suggest a few very simple recipes with easy-to-find ingredients that can be prepared with children for some captivating kitchen fun. The goal? For them to play, taste and destroy. Creative freedom and a great costume of course!
