Pizza is surely one of the most recognized dishes in the world. It has its own international day on February 9th and for many, it is one of the basic pillars of food. Although Italy (and Naples more specifically) is considered the undisputed mother of this dish, its origins are still debated. Already in Egypt, bread dough was used, very similar to that used for pizza, baked with sauces and other ingredients. Ingredients

  • 170 g of water
  • 30 g of oil
  • A pinch of salt
  • 350 g of flour
  • Yeast (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat the water together with the oil and salt for 30 seconds at 40 degrees speed 2.
  • Add the flour (optional yeast) and put it at 2 minutes “knead” speed (speed 1).
  • Once we have the dough, we make a little ball and wrap it in a cloth and let it rest for about 20 minutes.
  • Once the dough is rested, we stretch it with the help of a rolling pin and shape it, add the ingredients we want and put it in the oven preheated to 220 degrees for about 15 minutes.
