Strawberry and basil daiquiri

Realizada porCREATE
The daiquiri is one of the most popular cocktails, a short drink that can be made in either a liquid or ‘frozen’ version (including crushed ice in the glass). If you like short-drink cocktails with a strong flavour, you can always keep a few strawberries in the freezer. They will chill your cocktail without having to add too much ice. If you want to change the basil for mint, the result will also be delicious. Simple cocktail syrup is prepared by mixing the same amount of water and white sugar well: heating them slightly while stirring will speed up the process.

Ingredients

  • 10 basil leaves
  • 90 ml light rum
  • 75 ml lime juice
  • 200 g of strawberries
  • 1 spoonful of sugar (15 g or 15 ml of simple syrup)

Instructions

  • Place the blade accessory in the Chefbot’s glass. Add all the ingredients except the ice and 4 basil leaves, which you will use to decorate. Set 1 minute at speed 9 and close.
  • Open the Chefbot’s glass and pass the contents through a fine mesh strainer or chinoise, to remove the strawberry seeds, pressing with a spoon to facilitate the process and wash the glass only with water, without removing the blade.
  • Return the daiquiri to the glass, this time with the ice, and program 45 seconds at speed 10. Open the glass and see if the ice is completely crushed and integrated. If not, repeat in 15 second cycles. Serve in cocktail glasses with some basil leaves as decoration.
