Ingredients

  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons (9 oz of water)
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons (9 oz of bottled piña colada mix)
  • Add equal parts of light rum and pineapple juice

Instructions

  • Pour the water and the piña colada mix into the container, filling up to the STEP 1 MAX FILL (FREEZE) line.
  • Stir the mixture until well combined. Place the lid on and freeze for 24 hours.

After 24h

  • Remove the container from the freezer and add the desired amount of ingredients for processing (light rum and pineapple juice in equal parts) up to the STEP 2 (POUR LIQUID) line.
  • Close the container and place it in the machine.
  • Select the BLENDED DRINK mode.
  • Once the process is finished, pour the piña colada into a glass and serve immediately.

Notes

You can make a non-alcoholic version by replacing the rum with water or juice to taste.
If you notice a grainy texture due to a very low freezer temperature, you can break up the ice layers and use the RE-SPIN function to smooth the mixture.
