Moist, aromatic and delicately citrusy, this upside-down orange cake is perfect to prepare without an oven. Caramelised fruit and a light, fluffy sponge turn it into an irresistible classic.

- 1 small cup natural yoghurt
- 1 small cup sunflower oil
- 2 small cups sugar
- 3 small cups flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 sachet baking powder
- Orange zest
- Butter for the pan
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 orange (sliced)
Instructions
- Grease the bottom of the rice cooker with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange the orange slices to cover the entire base.
- Select Quick Cook to lightly caramelise the fruit.
- In a bowl, mix the yoghurt, eggs, sugar and oil.
- Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing until combined. Stir in the orange zest.
- Pour the batter over the oranges, close the lid and select the Cake programme.
- Do not open the lid during cooking.
- Once finished, check doneness with a skewer. If needed, activate Quick Cook for a few extra minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly, carefully turn out and serve.
