Ingredients

  • 1 small cup natural yoghurt
  • 1 small cup sunflower oil
  • 2 small cups sugar
  • 3 small cups flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 sachet baking powder
  • Orange zest
  • Butter for the pan
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 orange (sliced)

Instructions

  • Grease the bottom of the rice cooker with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange the orange slices to cover the entire base.
  • Select Quick Cook to lightly caramelise the fruit.
  • In a bowl, mix the yoghurt, eggs, sugar and oil.
  • Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing until combined. Stir in the orange zest.
  • Pour the batter over the oranges, close the lid and select the Cake programme.
  • Do not open the lid during cooking.
  • Once finished, check doneness with a skewer. If needed, activate Quick Cook for a few extra minutes.
  • Allow to cool slightly, carefully turn out and serve.
