A traditional sponge cake — fluffy, pretty and with that cocoa swirl that always wins you over. Perfect for an afternoon snack or to enjoy with a cup of hot chocolate when the cold arrives.

- 200 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 250 g flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 2 tablespoons pure cocoa powder
- A splash of milk
- Lemon zest (optional)
Instructions
- Beat the butter and sugar with the Downmix until creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time.
- Incorporate the sifted flour and baking powder.
- Separate one third of the batter and mix it with the cocoa and a splash of milk.
- Pour the white batter into a mould and add the cocoa batter, creating swirls.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes at 180°C.
