Elixir of hibiscus, cocoa and basil

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons hibiscus flowers (hibiscus tea)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 15 basil leaves
  • 1 orange (peeled)
  • 1/2 lemon (peel)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Honey to taste.
  • 1 L water

Instructions

  • Put all the ingredients in the pot and put it on the highest heat to bring to the boil.
  • Once it boils and all the flavours are released, lower the temperature to the lowest setting and leave covered for another half hour.
  • Pour the drink into a bottle using a strainer and serve hot (or cold in summer).
