How do you prepare a stew without preparing a stew? It’s easy if you have all the ingredients you need and our rice cooker. Never has it been easier to eat grandma’s home cooking.

Ingredients

  • 400 g beef for stewing
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • ½ onion
  • 1 chopped clove of garlic
  • 1 potato
  • 1 carrot
  • 200 ml meat stock
  • 200 ml tomato (you can use fried tomato sauce but we recommend traditional style or crushed)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 pinch of ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

  • Add the oil, garlic and onion to the rice cooker and set to “Quick cook” to make a sauté.
  • Open the rice cooker after 10 minutes and add the diced beef for stewing. Stir until it starts to turn golden brown.
  • Added the diced potato, cut carrot, stock, tomato and bay leaf, and set to “Stew”.
  • After 15 minutes, you can add a pinch of salt and pepper, as well as the cumin.
  • When there are 10 minutes left, you can add more salt to taste.
  • Serve with white rice or on its own and enjoy.
