Transporting yourself to Italy without going to Italy is possible thanks to this tiramisu. In each mouthful you will taste the intensity of the espresso, the amaretto that gives it its characteristic flavour and the cocoa that gives it that bitter touch that makes tiramisu one of the best desserts you can prepare at home.

Ingredients

  • 500 g mascarpone
  • 1 packet of cat’s tongue biscuits
  • 4 espresso eggs
  • 60 ml amaretto
  • Sugar to taste
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon of coffee

Instructions

  • Prepare an espresso in your favourite coffee machine, add a teaspoon of sugar and let it cool down.
  • Separate the egg yolk from the egg white. Beat the egg white to meringue, adding sugar to taste.
  • Once the meringue is ready, add the mascarpone little by little and stir in circular movements until a cream has formed. Let it rest in the fridge while we start preparing our tiramisu.
  • Place the cat’s tongues in a bowl so that they cover the entire bottom of the bowl. Dip them, using a brush, in the cold espresso mixed with the shot of amaretto.
  • After dipping the biscuits, place a layer of mascarpone and repeat this process until you reach the last layer, which should be mascarpone.
  • Finally, sprinkle the tiramisu with a mixture of 1 tablespoon of coffee and 3 tablespoons of cocoa and place in the fridge.
