A good homemade tomato sauce can transform any dish, no matter how simple. All you need are ripe tomatoes, time, and a bit of care.

Ingredients
- 1 kg ripe tomatoes (peeled or with skin)
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
- 2 –3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Basil or oregano (optional)
Instructions
- Place all raw ingredients into the cooking pot.
- Select the “Fine Cook” preset.
- Once cooked, remove the bay leaf and blend the mixture.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, reduce with the lid open (using “Keep Warm” or “Fast Cook” mode without the lid).
- Let cool and store in clean jars.
