Beans are a staple food in many cultures, known for their comforting flavor and high nutritional value. Cooking them in an electric pressure cooker saves hours and makes them tender and delicious in much less time.

Ingredients
- 400 g black or pinto beans (soaked 8–12 h)
- 1 onion (halved)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- Water (cover with 3 fingers above the beans)
- Salt (add at the end)
Instructions
- Drain and rinse the beans. Place them in the pot along with the onion, garlic, and bay leaf.
- Generously cover with water (beans will double in volume).
- Select the “Grain/Rice” preset.
- Let the pot naturally release pressure.
- Open, discard onion and bay leaf. Add salt to taste. Optionally, sauté onion or chorizo separately and mix in at the end.
