Soft, fluffy, and with the perfect crust – these homemade bagels are ideal for breakfast or creating a fun brunch. A delicious base that allows endless combinations.

Ingredients

  • 95 g Greek yogurt
  • 100 g wheat flour
  • 3 g baker’s yeast
  • Seeds (garlic, onion, seasonings…)
  • 1 egg for brushing
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1.5 L water

Instructions

  • Mix the flour with the yeast.
  • Add the yogurt and knead until a moldable consistency is achieved.
  • Once the dough is easy to shape, form a ball, cover with a cloth, and let rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
  • After that, divide the dough into two pieces. Shape each into a donut form to make a bagel.
  • In a pot, bring the water with baking soda to a boil.
  • Let the bagels rest on a floured surface, covered with a cloth, for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, place the bagels in the boiling water, flip them after 15 seconds, then remove and place in the air fryer basket.
  • Brush with egg and sprinkle with seeds.
  • Cook at 180°C for 7 minutes – and they’re ready.
