Light, aromatic, and with that charm that icy drinks have when they surprise you. This white sangría infused with fruit and spices becomes an elegant, bright granita — perfect for toasting with something different and wonderfully festive.

Ingredients

  • 500 ml frizzante white wine or young Verdejo
  • 100 ml fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 pear (chopped)
  • 1 orange (sliced)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • To decorate: fresh rosemary and redcurrants

Instructions

  • Place the wine, juice, sugar, fruit and cinnamon in a saucepan.
  • Heat over very low heat for 5–7 minutes without boiling, just to infuse the wine.
  • Strain the mixture well to remove all the fruit.
  • Let it cool completely in the fridge.
  • Pour the liquid into the Slush Maker and activate the slush mode.
  • Serve in glasses and decorate with a sprig of rosemary and some fresh redcurrants.
