Hummus is the most popular in this category (with all its possible variants), but spreads based on cooked vegetables allow many other possibilities. Macadamia nuts contribute two things: one at a nutritional level (good quality fat) and the other at a gastronomic level (they will leave small pieces that will provide resistance to biting, making this pâté even more tasty). To enhance the first part, it is important that the Macadamia nuts are raw or roasted, as frying them puts them in a much less interesting place.
